So we could draw 2,100 each.
Having been visited by Freya for previous weeks, Thor popped in for a change, to bless us with some really nasty weather. Undeterred, Ash started the game like a razor. Disposable.
To be fair, or even if I was being totally biased, the team shook off the hangover of last week and came together and took the game to the visitors. Several good chances became near misses before G’n’W had an attack, which they duly scored from.
The pattern was set, Ash worked hard, Dash causing trouble all over the pitch, but the final ball just never quite found its target. Meanwhile, the oppo were scoring at 100% per attack.
The second 2,100 seconds saw a vast improvement from the home team, with Dash finishing a fine move and then Adlam making the back board flinch.
We came up against a better team today, but we played, we competed, we battled, we Jenga’d, we supported each other and ultimately, had fun.
International break now as our two Welsh dragons are called up to the Wales Mediation squad.
Thanks to Gary and Georgeous for organising us and to Mike Course and his colleague for excellent umpiring in ghastly conditions.
