We have a few vacant positions we are looking to fill at our 2024 AGM.

Membership Secretary

The Membership Secretary is a Management & Playing Committee position. The role responsibilities include:

  • responding to new member enquiries, ensuring that potential members are directed to the website and given all the information required to satisfy their requests.
  • responding to all membership requests and liaise with the membership committee on these matters.
  • monitoring all membership payments which are made through the website and regularly update the Team Secretaries.
  • providing a report to each Committee meeting of membership information.
  • providing an annual update on membership matters at the AGM.

Team Captains – Mens Development & Mens 7s

Team Captains are a Selection Committee position. The role responsibilities include:

  • attending selection meetings and input on selection.
  • speaking to players moving in and out of your team, and to captains either side of you facilitating movement.
  • representing the team on the match day with opposition and umpires, and lead team preparation.
  • liaising with team coaches as necessary.
  • submitting teamsheets / results on GMS and Match Fee returns.
  • attending training wherever possible and encourage teams to.
  • liaising with Club Captain over any issues that arise.

With regard to the team captaincy role, it is expected if needed that you would also identify a senior player or two in your side who can assist with the admin. We will be looking to run tactical sessions to assist captains early in the 2024/25 season.

Honorary Auditors

The Honorary Auditors job role is to inspect and verify the annual accounts that the treasurer produces.

Fixtures Secretary

Andy is standing at the forthcoming AGM but is looking for someone to assist him in this role with the view of taking it over at the 2025 AGM.

The Fixture Secretary role responsibilities include:

  • liaising with pitch venues to book pitches for the season.
  • allocating pitches for friendly, league and cup games.
  • arranging friendly club fixtures for the season.
  • handling any fixture queries throughout the season and liaise with Club Captains & Team Secretaries.
  • having an accurate fixture list uploaded to the website that is visible for all players and Club members.
  • confirming fixtures with opponents, before the game and maintain communication with their Fixture Secretary to ensure there are no issues.

Chairperson

Tony is standing at the forthcoming AGM but is looking for someone to assist him in this role with the view of taking it over at the 2025 AGM.

The Chairperson is a Management Committee position. The role responsibilities include:

  • overall organisation and running of the Club.
  • chairing meetings including regular committee meetings and the Club AGM.
  • upholding the Club Constitution.
  • delegating, leading and motivating Club volunteers towards Club goals/objectives.
